Bed time

I find it interesting that every person seems to have their bedtime quirks. In our family for instance, each of us have our own little things. Renee, who as you may remember is a 27 and 1/2 year old woman, can't go to sleep without her blankie. Renee also cannot where socks to bed. Ever. Tim cannot go to bed without putting on his birthday suit and snuggling up to his armpit pillow. This pillow smells exactly like how the name implies. Benny cannot go to bed without his BedTime Posse. The co-captains are his blankie and his White Sox bear. The rest of the crew consists of his other teddy bear, Cookie Monster, a stuffed snowman, a cup of water, and of course - a MagnaDoodle. "A Magna Doodle?" you ask? Benny has told me to not knock it until I've tried it. Lastly, Sammy cannot go to bed without his pacie, his blankie, his cup of water, and of course - his Crocs. Over the last couple nights, he will not go to bed without his Crocs on his feet. A Magna Doodle I can understand, but wearing Crocs to bed? That's just kooky.

Bedtime quirks at our house:

Elaina - likes to be sung to prior to going into crib. She lays on her back, handmade blanket over her, Fisher Price aquarium playing.

McKenna - prayers in this order: individual prayer usually for Papa, "Now I lay me" and then the long list of "God Bless". Just recently able to sleep without her four dolls, three dogs, and cat tucked in next to her. Master of excuses for not staying in bed (she gets that from Dave).

Amanda - Must have my three pillows stacked in the same order every night with decorative pillows placed next to me in Dave's spot. I usually take on of the smaller decorative pillows to "cuddle". Almost always fall asleep with TV and my glasses on.

Dave - Must crack every bone in his body: toes, fingers, back, neck. Absolutly MUST have a glass or bottle of water sitting on the nightstand. Can't go to bed before 3 am.

Funny post. I love that Sammy sleeps with his Crocs on. Do they stay on all night?
