Future All-Star and MVP Candidate?

You all have read about the boys and their obsession with the White Sox and playing baseball. At the beginning of the season Sammy mimicked Jim Thome at the plate. He stood straight up and held his bat straight up waving ever so slightly. I didn't like the stance very much since I don't believe it is very fundamentally sound. But what are you gonna do? He's only 3. Next year when he is 4 I will start working on his swing more. Now a days I just want him to swing when the ball is somewhat near the plate. I was quite surprised the other day when he made a dramatic change to his stance and swing. He was now copying Carlos Quentin and looked adorable. I immediately got out my phone to capture his new style and got the video below. When you watch it the first time do everything in your power to keep your eyes on Sammy. It will be tough but do your best. When you watch it again, and you will, you can look at the other goofball in the video all you want.

Now I hope you weren't expecting much longer of a video but I couldn't help but start laughing at Benny. Don't worry, he was fine and hit one past my head and over the fence of our yard minutes later. Fundamentally speaking, I like his new stance much better. I think he will be able to have a much more level swing. And who knows, maybe some day he'll hit 36 homers and 100 rbi for the White Sox. If you don't follow the Sox like the Kresl family does, you may not know that it has just come out that Carlos Quentin is probably out for the rest of the season after breaking his own wrist. We haven't told the boys yet and I know they will be heart broken. We'll have to wait and see if Sammy goes back to the Jim Thome batting style.
