Benny is 4!

Benny is now a 4 year old. Where has the time gone? As his birthday neared, Benny kept telling me, "Mommy, you can't believe I'm almost 4!" He's right, I can't. I still remember the day that he was born like it was yesterday. After about 15 hours of labor and then a c-section, I was so tired, but couldn't sleep. I just sat and held him for hours. Taking it all in (except for his extra finger, which creeped me out so much that I couldn't look directly at it for several weeks). I stared at his little football-shaped face and I couldn't believe that he was mine.


I remember sitting in the wheelchair in the lobby of the hospital to go home and realizing that Tim and I were about to go home with a newborn. I was never so scared in my whole life.



But we got through it.



I am so proud of the little boy that Benny has become. He is such a proud and loving big brother to Sammy. He cheers him on at most anything he does and is always ready to give him a hug. He is so passionate about things that he loves. He takes great pride in being polite, and likes to make sure that everyone knows when he is polite. He loves his friends, and is loved by them as well.

While I am sad to leave Benny's babyhood behind, I am looking forward to his bright future. I can't wait to hear what his hopes and dreams will be.
