All my boys in the awesome fortYesterday and today we took the boys outside to play in the snow. Since it snowed another 4 inches yesterday, that brought the grand total of snow in Bloomington to just about a foot and a half since Tuesday. It was knee deep everywhere in the yard. Yesterday Tim built a little hill for the boys to slide down on a garbage can lid. (Yep, we know we're fancy.) But this morning Tim called what seemed like every store in town looking for a sled. He finally found one at Jewel across town. The whole time the boys napped today Tim was busy building up the sledding hill and his pride and joy... a snow fort. The fort actually is pretty cool. It was big enough for all four of us to fit in comfortably. While playing in the yard, Benny really had a good time. Sammy however would just stand in one place and giggle. When we'd ask him if he was having fun he would say yes, though I don't see how he could have been having fun! It's a shame that the boys aren't old enough to remember all the snow and the cool fort and sledding hill that their daddy built for them. Here are some pictures and video from our fun two days.
The snow literally was knee deep in the whole yard.

Benny sledding
Sammy sledding. He didn't like it very much.
Mommy sledding. Tim did too, but we were out of batteries by then.
All done!

Renee,
Those pictures are so great! That fort is amazing. I always wondered if that would work. Our snow here is too wet. It would cave in and we'd sufficate in it. Those boys are so lucky to have such wonderful parents. You truly are amazing! -Love you, Liss
You were right, the video's clips are even better with the sound on...poor Sammy.
